SEATTLE, WA – Famed travel blogger, points and miles enthusiast, and overall travel influencer Johnny Jet announced he’s changing his name to Johnny Boeing as part of a sponsorship deal.
In a press release distributed across various social media channels, famed travel blogger, points and miles enthusiast, credit card guru and travel influence Johnny Jet announced he’s changing his name to Johnny Boeing.
Under a new 3-year sponsorship deal with the aviation industry giant Boeing, Johnny Jet will rebrand the popular travel industry website and brand. According to the press release, Johnny, like many travel bloggers during the pandemic, suffered severe dips in blog traffic and revenue as travelers stayed home and the new partnership was a chance to generate some meaningful new revenue.
The terms of the new deal were not disclosed, however, insiders report that the deal could pay Johnny as much as $100 per month and a few other special perks like free coffee when he visits Boeing headquarters (wherever they may be or have moved to again), and a bomber jacket with a glued-on Boeing logo.
Unofficial reports suggest that Johnny rejected substantive sponsorship offers from several other aviation industry firms. Allegedly, several deals were considered including the following brand partnerships:
- Johnny Bombardier
- Johnny Airbus
- Johnny Antonov (reportedly, this was actually the preferred choice until the plane was destroyed during the Russian invasion of Ukraine)
- Johnny Embraer
Editor’s note: We are a travel satire and humor site. We don’t know Johnny, but he seems like a nice guy and it was a slow day for ideas. This seemed silly enough. And yes, we know his last name isn’t Jet…sigh. You should go read his blog; it’s pretty good.
LOL! This showed up in my Google Alert and made my head spin. Thanks for the laugh.
You bet, man. Thanks for being a good sport about it too. Keep up the good work. 🙂
LOL. Good stuff, with the bomber jacket being the icing on the cake.
