DALLAS, TX – In a heartfelt message shared earlier this morning, Southwest Airlines CEO Bob Jordan announced plans to personally visit each customer affected by the recent travel chaos. Working in partnership with United Airlines, Jordan plans to begin his journey this week – as soon as he finishes syncing up his Palm Pilot.

After ruining the holidays for thousands of customers when a dot matrix printer lost its connection to a 3270 mainframe when a night cleaner inadvertently kicked a thinnet cable causing its BNC connector to come loose, the beleaguered airline is playing defense in an attempt to salvage any brand equity.

After issuing several pleas via the popular social media platform MySpace and posting several messages in various NNTP forums, the embattled CEO, Bob Jordan, is trying a new tactic in a bid to keep the stock price from further tanking.

In a heartfelt message faxed to each Southwest Airlines location along with journalists, the CEO noted that he plans to personally travel to the home of each affected passenger with an apology. During the visit, Jordan intends to offer complimentary B-List privileges to each person for up to 10 years and will provide a year subscription to AOL for anyone who is interested.

Jordan announced that he is partnering with United Airlines to shuttle him around the country in order to ensure that he actually gets to each customer’s location.
