NEW YORK CITY, NY – With thousands of canceled flights, it’s clear there is only one culprit for Southwest Airlines’ post-Holiday woes: Elon Musk.

As the beleaguered airline canceled nearly 4000 flights a new theory has emerged regarding the cause of Southwest Airlines’ operational meltdown. In a post that was sandwiched between two puff pieces on crypto fraudster SBF, the New York Times posited a new idea directly connecting free speech billionaire Elon Musk to the meltdown.

“It’s clear that the consequences of unchecked free speech have created a catastrophic set of conditions that have resulted in the operational meltdown by Southwest Airlines,” offered Sandy McDoucher in the piece. “When Musk removed the ability of the left-leaning tech industry to silence critics it set in motion a series of events that have led us to millions of passengers stranded in airports across the country.”

Rooftop dancer, fundraiser and US representative AOC agreed, suggesting that “…the connection between the dramatic rise in cancellations can only be attributed to the fact that Elon has yet to ask me out on a date.”

For his part, the billionaire offered to buy Southwest Airlines and fix them too, although his first order of business would be busting the union.
