CHICAGO, IL – Steve Johnson is an anomaly amongst his peers. The seasoned business travel claims to still have a strong marriage after 16 years of steady business travel. However, his colleagues just aren’t buying it.

“Steve!? That guy, you can’t trust him,” commented Carl Pahrnluver a thrice divorced sales executive with lifetime Diamond status at Hilton. “He actually calls his spouse from the road and they talk for like an hour every night. Or so he claims. I just don’t buy that one bit.”

Susan Liches, a fellow sales exec who hasn’t had a steady relationship in 11 years, shared similar sentiments. “I mean, honestly, who’s he fooling? With that many years on the road either he’s not married or he’s just lying. No chance.”

Yet, despite his colleague’s protestations, Johnson claims to be a happily married father of 3 kids, and although his job takes him on the road 30+ weeks a year he dutifully returns home every Friday to his suburban home in Provo, Utah. The devoted father even claims to sleep in the same bed with his wife still.
